I worked for a midwestern outfit from Blue Island Ill. It was a gas company called Martins Petroleum. My gas station was at Coney Island Ave & 18th Ave and were serviced by two 3000 gal trucks. The trucks were labeled "Premium Gasoline-Danger".As far as when they allowed the larger trucks, IIRC it started around the time the gas shortage started in the early to mid 70s |
