Re: Hertz Withdraws its EVs

Why would a gas station have or need an EV charger? Most of these are by shopping centers. But they are the same distance from the highway exit as a gas station.

Why would it be a “crap shoot?” Unlike a gas station, GPS tells you where to stop for charging, the power level, and the availability/wait time.

So just opened the Tesla app and scrolled along I-80 to PA and found the first one in Bloomsburg PA at 11 Ricky Avenue which is in the parking lot of some restaurant. 150 kW (admittedly not the best possible), 36¢/kwh and 6 of 8 slots available.

And if I set a destination the GPS would automatically add the pit stops. There is no guess work involved.

NOTE: nearly all of the horror stories that you read about EV charging are for cars other than Tesla.
