A big supplier of lithium is Chile, which isn’t a third world country. Yes, there’s cobalt and that comes from Congo, but nothing is perfect.OTOH, oil is produced in countries like Saudi Arabia, Iran, Venezuela and Russia. The United States produces oil too, but it can easily survive the collapse of the oil market, and would benefit from an oil crash, those countries can’t and won’t. |
