I often drive from Pittsburgh to Long Island (appx 500mi) on a tank and a half. I pull in, top off the tank & I;m on my way in 10-15 minutes while looking at the line of EVs waiting their turn for a charge. Then there's the time it takes to charge. If I had an EV, to cover the 500 miles I'd have to charge at least twice and deal with the lines for the charger and time for the actual charging.Point being. My trip is long enough (time wise) as it is. EVs are not yet ready for my long distance trips |
