South Florida is the most expensive. Dade and Broward.

I don't think any working class, middle class northerners have retired there in decades. Not in measurable numbers. They go to Jupiter or places up north because it's affordable.

Or on the west coast like Charlotte County, Pasco, Hernando, or The Village. Sarasota and Manatee are expensive.

And then when you move to these affordable places, and read the news, and find out about a raid on a meth lab outside your subdivision, you're it's much closer to home then when you lived in Glendale, or Babylon or wherever in NY.
