Those are health statistics. I am focusing on jobs

Everything matters.

Jobs (pay, difficulty, and enjoyability of the work), affordability, health care, weather, stuff to do, education (if you have kids).

And of course different people give different weights to those factors.

So I personally love Manhattan because it gives me all of those* except good affordable education, which doesn't affect me. But others obviously have a different point of view.

* I admit to being very fortunate in terms of my situation being affordable.
