Your upfront opinion on Salaam is exactly what mine is. We railfanned together twice, took a trip to see some old railroad cars, and broke bread together. My guess is that he is just reacting to people he believes are goading him with anger and hatred. I would be the most surprised dude in the world if that was what he thought of me, and I insist that the friendly man I know is what I have seen of him, the guy who sent me a number of fan trips he filmed, especially the ones of the #7 Train that traversed some of the stops very close to where I was raised in Southern Queens way back when. I like the guy a lot and owe him a call. I did call but no one was home. |
