While I disagree with Fred that it is a legitimate comparisonWhy do you disagree? Russia has murdered at least as many Ukrainian civilians as Hamas has murdered Israeli civilians. By murder I mean deliberate targeting of civilian populations where there is no military target present. Sending a missile into a theater where a performance is going on is not less of a war crime than machine gunning attendees at a concert, even if the people pulling the trigger are farther away in the former case. I'm sorry to say that what I see happening with several posters here (not Mitch) is: - People with dark skin massacre people with dark skin: huh, did something happen? - People with white skin massacre people with white skin: well, bad stuff happens in wars. - People with dark skin massacre people with white skin: subhuman! |
