I've read that ship strikes are the culprit.NOAA does a study and releases preliminary findings saying that of their subjects 40% are confirmed ship strike victims and the rest are undetermined or still under investigation. Of course opponents to wind farms will seize upon "what about the other 60%?" and claim it has to be wind farms without evidence to back it up. Anything is possible but at this point in time there isn't evidence backing up the "windmills kill whales" claim just like there's none to back up "windmills cause cancer". |
