Her excessively drastic solutions have the result of promoting despair. The correct response to the climate crisis is putting your nose to the grindstone and just achieving one carbon use reduction after the other, bit by bit.The world population will not put up with just not using energy, which is what she recommends. "So the US and Europe got a middle class lifestyle and now you're blocking us from it? No way." We need to harness more of the sun's energy into useful forms of motion, rather than excess heat. |
