Reports from eyewitnesses confirmed that nobody was attacked in that subway carThe young man, however did act and say things that would be considered belligerent, but the focus was on Him Self, and not to attack the passengers. He was hereby attacked by three riders,two holding him down, with one placing him in a "sleeper hold". If One person was considered such a threat,then the appropriate response would have been to leave the train,or use the train line intercom system to alert the train crew, so the authorities can meet the train at the nearest station. With the individual subdued,it became a situation that caused fear in the man holding him around the neck. Because he attacked him from behind, the idea that the man could escape, and possibly cause him harm,grew even greater than his so called "heroism". His intent was to cut off oxygen to his brain, rendering the young man unconscious. However things didn't go as planned,as the restraint leveled against him prevented him from fighting back (both his arms were being held by two unnamed people). There were passengers that were telling the men to let him go. One person who said they were a nurse, even said if Penny continues, he would kill him. They refused to relent...which lead to the young man's death. Now, there are people calling Penny a hero... however, would these people still think that he was a hero if he killed someone in Their family? How could a trained military veteran Not know how much pressure to apply, in a combat situation? I'm trained. I know how to fight. Various holds, and other means, to either de-escalate..or put down a combatant. You know how to apply the right amount of pressure to render someone unconscious, and incapacitate. But because This became a"fight or flight" situation,all thoughts of training went out the window. Fear took over. Now a man is dead, and another man is free on bond. The very fact that this was another black person,to die at the hands of a white person.. spoken to by the authorities.. and released.. back into society without scrutiny.. isn't a strange thing. The murder of black people through out history is acceptable to the the privilege class because of media driven presentation of black people being counterproductive to Their social structure. The same social structure They created, maintain, and push on the very backs of the marginalized. If it weren't for Moral outrage,by both black and white people, the person responsible for the young man's murder would be forgotten with time,as these things are usually done. It's amazing how he was able to post 100,000 dollars bond out asap.. and walk away. I'm not expecting any right wing Maga hat wearing asshole Here to think. They are incapable of using that much brain power, without having a stroke. What I am saying to any rational thinker..is to put your self in that young man's shoes. Suffering from mental illness, and bouts with depression..out in the streets.. asking for help on a train full of people.. Making a declaration of how you are giving up on your life..you don't care whether you live or die anymore.. because you are hungry, and going through an episode. You know the rest of the story. Even the governor of this state made a comment, that will definitely not get her re elected if it were up to her own party. When the mayor of the city of New York spoke on the subject,he was called everything under the sun by every "morally outraged privilege packing asshole waving the Cultural War banner". Especially Here. Especially here. Not surprised. |
