The fact of the matter is that there was enough internet chatter out there picked up by the feds, Wash D.C. police and the military that there will be thousands descending on the capital for a massive demonstration. With all this info, there is absolutely no excuse for not giving the Capital more protection. In addition to a Trump request, there were sworn depositions saying that requests were made for a big presence of authority and the National Guard that were ignored specifically by Pelosi. "...the president didn’t call up a mob to violently threaten Congress." You're absolutely right. No "calls" were made. If they exist, lets see some transcripts. What It was a constitutionally allowed demonstration that turned into a violent out of control mob. Too bad there wasn't a bigger law enforcement presence to arrest more of those goons. Trump's role here was being too slow calling off the dogs. |
