The parents reactions are not unrelated to the story. If a significant number of parents were unhappy about it, that would get reported too. And besides the fatality rate, there is also the possibility of long COVID. Lastly, the vaccine isn't that experimental, there are reasons why it took this long for it to get approved for kids.
