I like small to medium dogs because I'm a city boy and it does not make sense to have a big dog unless you have a big piece of property.IAWTP. I don't like the "rat dogs", but a medium dog is OK. My childhood dog was what would be considered medium size, she was about 40 pounds (except when my mother and I went out of town for 6 weeks in the summer of 1970 and she stayed with my grandmother, who gave her extra food at mealtimes (grandmothers like to spoil their grandchildren, I guess the same was true for "granddogs")) 🙂  I like Golden Retrievers, but that is too much dog for me. Like you said, you need a big-ass house with a bigger-ass yard to own one of them. I need to find a friend with a golden lol |
