Delusionality doesn’t make someone less likely to convince a flock.But it makes it harder to get competent people to work for you. He still poses a hazard in my opinion, just a lesser one. You remind me that in the New Testament John the Baptist is uniformly represented as an austere, holy, and righteous man. Whereas in the opera based on Oscar Wilde's Salome (and presumably also in the original play), he is portrayed as a complete nut job. Of course, the two aren't fully incompatible. |
