I don't think I've ever seen any of his full length silent in their entirety. Only parts of each and I have seen a number of his shorts. I find it hard to hold my attention watching a full length silent film on TV, in a theater yes, but not TV. I saw Mel Brook's Silent Movie in a theater when it came out and it held my attention but couldn't watch it on TV. But I did love Chaplain's The Great Dictator, saw it a number of times, even once in an arts theater. |
