Anybody who's really into cars would realize that it's a poor excuse for auto racing.Doesn't matter. NASCAR is a hugely popular sport. Anyway, the lameness of a sport has little to do with its popularity. Look at the NFL, the world's richest and most successful sports league. A typical NFL game, according to people who've timed them with stop watches, has about 12 minutes of ball-in-play action, yet spans 3+ hours. My LIRR/NYCT blog |
