New York isn't indicitive of the rest of America. In fact, draw a 40 mile circle around Times Square and I'd be willing to say that a good chunk of that area sees what the rest of America sees as normal to be foreign and even scary.You could probably extend that to cover most of the north-east coast. I dare say that someone from Philly or Boston would perceive themselves as having more in common with the New York America than the "big square states" America. |
