Because the New York area is much more of a melting pot than the rest of the USA. Still a lot of immigrants and their first/second generation offspring, who have been to home and seen another part of the world and know it’s different.I have to tell you that some of the people you meet in the mid-West (think big square states) are scary in their insularity. |
