When you act as the public square, or if you are engaging as though you were an outsourced gov't entity it's not such an easy cop out to say "hey i'm private, sorry".I'd love to fight with people over this one, but there's too many professionals out there who are too arrogant and wrong about too many things who charge a lot of money whilst I sit here arguing that it's against my morals to argue it publically. But, I think I can at least say that there's a point where you act as a public conduit, and the private arguement becomes a cop out that ceases to be cute. You can't build a public square and nail down a soapbox where there isn't a real public one - either through the realities of time or just circumstance - and then turn around. |
