The guards fell asleep.Anyone in the NYPD who was ever a cell attendant will tell you it's common practice to just make the entries every half hour that you checked the cells without actually checking them. Certainly not right but I've been guilty of it. If someone was planning on offing him it would have long been done already. I feel real sorry for the guards who will be charged with a felony for falsifying official records and probably lose their jobs. Maybe they can use the sleep apnea defense that the Amtrak engineer got away with. Enough with the stupid conspiracy theories. |
