The problem with the ratings for both Obama and Trump is that the people that disapprove do so fanatically. Even irrationally, especially those that were against Obama. It's a very clear split of opinions.

I'm also starting to wonder what it would take for Trump's supporters to be alienated. He's becoming increasingly unhinged and everyone around him that's not related is bailing.
