I do think they should get to live once born however. Better with parents, a parent, extended family or some caring individual(s), NOT in internment orphanages.In the course of six weeks (IIRC) Obama's INS got 30,000 unaccompanied minors (one of the earlier caravans) housed, fed and out to relatives or foster homes. All were processed through the asylum process within the legally prescribed year. Face it, trump's racism, his hateful policies and unwillingness to actually DO something about the conditions which have spurred the need for these caravans to begin with, is only serving to enlarge this problem, the caravans and all these asylum cases. These are not stupid people. They come bearing proof of the conditions of their lives in their villages to present as documentation at the border when they apply for asylum. |
