It should have but somebody gave him celebrity or financial privilege. the SA said he didn't feel Smollett was a danger to the community.There have been some rape cases in the last couple years where the wealthy defendent was found guilty but given a light sentence because "it was his first offense" or he wasn't a danger or some such nonsense. Financial privilege most likely. |
