They all had strict gun laws by the time they turned to shit. That's how they were able to maintain power through those times.Mao's Great Leap backward could have resulted in an early end to Chinese communism had any meaningful armed resistance been possible. Taiwan (which still maintains the name Republic of China) would have easily been able to re-establish control. |
