That law was passed twentysomething years ago, virtually unanimously. Why are they wasting time trying to pass it again?Parents of a living child have the right to withhold medical treatment, and I can see in many late-term (driven exclusively by severe medical issues, by law) abortion cases, where the infant's death is inevitable, no reason to pursue futile, painful and expensive treatment. Sometimes a blanket and a parents caress is the best treatment. Stop trying to make RW hate hay out of other's people's tragedies. Better this is handled in a proper medical facility so the mother doesn't die as well. |
