-Families are "collectives" of a sort. Anyway, prostitution is an act free-market exchange. If sex is legal, then paying for sex should be legal. It may or may not truly be "the world's oldest profession", but if it's not, it's close. Legalization is supported by the most anti-collectivist people around, libertarians and anarcho-capitalists.
