I favor gun control in places where population density is high (such as NYC), but guns are generally okay in the countryside. The reason is simple: that way, innocent bystanders ain't hurt as much or as often if there is an attempt to murder. (I doubt that gun control will actually stop murders, though, which is why I don't necessarily favor a ban in the the countryside, although I'm fine with one if the Second Amendment is tinkered with). |
