A singular event where physical life suddenly appears. Why does it appear in that fashion? If abiogenesis were real, it ought to happen all the time no matter how many life forms exist at any given period of time; i.e. it ought to be observable. The only way that life continues is to be produced from other life. But that's OK too. Before Edwin Hubble proved the expansion of the universe from a single point (observable phenomenon is red shift), demonstrating that the universe had a beginning, scientists that adhere to atheism believed in the steady-state universe that always existed. |
