If one truly had no mental certainty as to whether he had committed any crimes, then I would agree with you.However, if, hypothetically, one were quite certain (based on everything that has been reported over the last 40 years) that he has stolen large amounts of money from many people, would it not then be OK to want him to be brought to justice for one or more of those crimes? This is of course not a legal question, nor even a moral question. It's just a question of what it is emotionally OK to wish for. |
