When Luch puts the word teens in quotes to describe adolescent Black or Latino suspects, he is implying that they are somehow adults, and deserving of more severe punishment than white juveniles accused of similar offenses. As I'm sure you are aware, I have highlighted the ages of the individuals Luch refers to as "teens" many times, to show that they are, in fact, adolescents. Funny how Luch never characterizes white teenage suspects this way. |
