Actually, "anchor babies" get only SNAP, Medicaid, and/or WIC, and these benefits aren't transferable to their (undocumented) parents. Moreover, undocumented immigrants pay taxes, just like we citizens do--in fact, the IRS estimates that as many as 75% of undocumented immigrants pay annual income taxes. They're not getting "free" benefits for their U.S.-born kids. These immigrants pay into the system just like we do. |
