Only in the sense that all historical parallels are technically invalid as something will inevitably be different. Ultimately people have been drawing them since at least the late 1st Century AD. In the brutal world of realpolitik, we just need to stop what's going on in some foreign country from harming us - in most other situations, we can ignore them. |
