It should have been done away with after the south LOST the Civil War, and the need to balance free and slave populations became obsolete. Gues nobody hought of it, since u til this century it was little than a precedural anomaly that served little to no purpose. Now that its dangers have been dmonstratede, it's time to do what should have been done years ago....eliminate it. It is a threat to democracy. |
