You bring up an interesting point about malpractice. Are any physicians going to get any relief from the intense malpractice insurance rates they have to deal with today? Does Obamacare or any form of its replacement thats out there address the issue of the sky high rates doctors have to pay for coverage?Case in point: I have degenerative disc disease with an arthritic condition on my C-3 disc in my neck. I've had several MRIs and they all point to surgery as a long term solution to my problem. In chatting with a neuro-surgeon I'm considering to do the job, he tells me that he pays 90K a year in malpractice insurance premiums.I don't know if he had an oops or thats the going rate. Either way, thats a lot of $$$. |
