We all pay the cost, whether the person has insurance or not. Our tax dollars subsidize public hospitals that have to treat people whether or not they have insurance. If insurance companies covered preexisiting conditions it would cost you less money because the conditions would be diagnosed sooner when treatment is less costly than having to deal with the condition and its complications. |
