They're a de facto return to the concept of "King's Lands".Except the people are the owners. I own 1/300 millionth of the Malheur NWR and I will protest vigorously any attempt to take that ownership share away from me. The Congress I have helped elect has determined rules of behavior (delegating a limited portion of that authority to appointees of the president) for being on that land. I disagree with those rules in part, but my representatives have made those rules and I want them enforced to protect my investment. The Bundys have damaged my interest in the Malheur NWR. I am sorry they didn't get convicted even though I acknowledge the jury's right to acquit them. |
