My guess is that it was dumb ass kids that have no clue what that swatstika represents, raised by ignorant bigoted parents, that did the deed.That was my first reaction, too, except a rabbi at the scene pointed out that the orientation of the symbol was correct, and dumb ass kids usually rotate them to be square and/or mess up on the bends in the arms of the cross. Our friend's kids have since said that there have been some teenagers who have been harassing them and telling them things about Hitler at the playground recently, so I'm thinking there's a connection. Or at least hoping so, since the only thing worse than one Nazi is more Nazis... |
