You can be here LEGALLY, and not be a citizen.I did not imply otherwise. This was a lot easier before income tax and social security payroll taxes. The question is whether their children who born in this country should receive US citizenship as a birthright. I'm suggesting that those who believe such children should not receive US citizenship as a birthright should investigate their own family history. I know my family history; I've seen my parents' and grandparents' naturalization certificates. Do you know whether your grandparents were citizens at the time your parents were born in this country? |
