Well, did I say anything that wasn't true? When other blacks start to criticize blacks who think that they have to "keep it real" and not want to do well OR buckle up and do well in school, will things change.Really??? How about you just stereotyped the whole group of black people. Yes, I take offense to your statement, and any stereotyping. I'm black, I did my best in school (as did my brother), and we've been nothing less than positive members of society. I refuse to believe we're some sort of anomaly as many would have us believe. Then you go on with your stereotyping in your shoplifting example. I say again... I'm black, I pay for everything that leaves the store with me, and again... I refuse to believe that's an anomaly. Shoplifters come in all shapes sizes, and races/ethnic backgrounds. |
