Of all the deaths in this whole "blacks vs police" issue that people like you keep bringing up that have been in cold blood so far are officers Ramos and Liu.

Brown. Garner. Gray. Jones. Grant. And those are just the ones I can name right now without googling.

A black man is killed in cold blood by a cop every day. No cops are ever arrested or charged.

Cops don't bother people without a reason.

This is a lie. Either you know it's a lie, or you're a complete and total moron, or you have never left your house or read the news in your life.

The cops have bothered me for no reason and I'm white. Being black means living in constant terror of the police.

Ramos and Liu were just sitting in the radio car. Then there was the cop on Jamaica avenue who was attacked with a hatchet from behind.

The plural of anecdote is not data.

Ask yourself this— when Ramos and Liu were attacked, did the police department do everything to find their attacker or declare that the attack was obviously self-defense? Did the district attorney file charges or did they decide it wasn't a crime until public pressure forced them to and then intentionally botch the case? Did society at large declare the attack was a crime, or that it was justified? Were there massive protests by people who believe that killing a cop is legal by definition?

And then we all go and ignore the white kid shot by a black cop in Salt Lake City. Why hasn't this be in the news?

Because it wasn't reflective of a massive social problem?

Because you only care about one group of people. They can't do anything wrong.

Oh for the love of fuck, you're as bad as Chimmy— "if you don't want to kill all black people, it means you WORSHIP BLACKS!!!!!11one"

Take your white supremacist bullshit somewhere else. There's already way too much of it here.

Baltimore nearly burned to the ground over the death of a drug dealer.

If by "nearly burned to the ground," you're referring to the protests and by "drug dealer" you're referring to Freddie Gray, then you're wrong as usual and you really need to start paying attention to news that doesn't come from Fox and Wingnut Daily.

Freddie Gray's murder was the immediate cause for the protests in much the same way that a match is the immediate cause of an explosion when it lands on a powder keg. Black residents of Baltimore have faced nonstop terrorism at the hands of the Baltimore Police Department for decades. Gray was just one in a long line of people murdered by the police— that it was his death that sparked the protests rather than Trayvon Scott or Tyrone West or George King or Anthony Anderson or any of the others was just a matter of chance. And if it turns out that Gray's death was miraculously caused by an actual accident instead of a pattern of racially-motivated murders the police commit so frequently they have a special name for the practice, it won't quiet the protests any more than blowing out a match will extinguish the raging inferno it's already lit.

That is why your white kid in Utah did not cause such massive protests. White people have not spent decades living in fear of a police department that acts like an occupying army and his death was not just one in a long line of racially motivated murders committed by the police department.

This is now required reading for you. Don't bother talking about Baltimore again until you've read it.

You just see a big, faceless machine.

No, I don't. I see people who respond to social pressures and I see a system that applies those pressures with catastrophic results.

I see people who get dressed every day knowing they might not come back in one piece, let alone at all.

They're a lot more likely to come back in one piece than an average black man.

You think they get too much respect? What fucking world are you living in?

The one where cops are above the law, murder with impunity, and are treated like heroes anyway.

We've got people like you coming down on them left and right.

"Coming down on them?"

Criticising murderers is just as bad as murder? Are you out of your fucking mind?

You earn the kind of respect they are due by sticking your neck out. You think it's easy? You think it's all fun and games?

I wouldn't call murdering black people "fun and games."

Let's see you run into a collapsing building to try to get as many people out as possible.

Let's see Darren Wilson or Johannes Mehserle do it.

23 NYPD officers did that 14 years ago and they didn't come back out.

Your point being...?

Does that somehow make murder justified?

Have you got the backbone for that kind of work? If you don't, then maybe you should consider thinking more before you say anything else.

By your logic, if you can't personally run a country then you have no right to say Hitler was bad.
