That's absolutely right and needs to be addressed. even here in the US, freedom FROM religion is just as much a part of the 1st Amendment as freedom of religion.

That Arkansas law has to be struck down for one. Same for the laws barring non-religious from public office. That also is unconstitutional. State governments are supposed to hew to the Federal Constitution WRT rights it conveys to all citizens. Or else, let's ban guns in NY, k?

At no point has she claimed the 1st Amendment forbids public displays of religiosity— she's merely pointing out the plain fact that the 1st Amendment forbids government endorsement of religion or privileging the religious over the nonreligious, meaning that laws forbidding atheists from holding office are unconstitutional.

As I've noted, I'm inclined to assume the best of people so I was willing to assume you'd simply misinterpreted what Bingbong said but now I'm starting to think you may actually be lying about it.

If you have some links to posts where Bingbong actually said any of the things you claim she did, feel free to post them.
