The bigger a country's infulence get's, the harder the eventual fall is. Britain went from world power to being bombed by Germans.Being bombed does not equal a fall from being a world power. Britain did win that war, and its downfall (which wasn't all that big a fall as Rail Blue pointed out) was for different reasons entirely. The USSR was fucked much harder by the Germans and yet emerged from that ordeal as a great world power for the following 40 years. |
