Posted by Express Rider on Tue Oct 21 01:00:51 2014, in response to Re: black coffee is now a racist phase?, posted by SelkirkTMO on Fri Sep 26 12:12:12 2014. speaking of down south, family took a road trip down from NY to Miami to visit relatives. 95 wasn't finished yet so we had to get on and off it, take local roads in between.We saw the real south... too rural for me... unless you're going to go out and hunt Blues like Sam Charters. ..... but anyway, coming back from Fla. we did the same roads, stopped on morning at a diner, must have been georgia or one of the carolinas, well gambling was legal in this particular county, so they'd removed the first three or four booths, and put in slot machines, right up against the picture windows. this was in late '61/ '62 over Christmas vacation only in the south............... |
