County fair here today, so went and hung out with my buddy who's the county Sheriff and a Lt Commander from the State Police as well as my local chief. Needless to say, the conversation was about ... wait for it ... nah, don't. :)ALL agreed that once this is all over, Ferguson will have a new police department and they won't be accepting any resumes. This little tidbit you mentioned was just the icing on the cake as far as they were all concerned. Albany county got the same toys they have out there, but instead of using it much, they just park it for public get togethers with the chuckle of "wanna fuck with us? Why not step inside and take a look a the toys they gave us." Since the feds require local departments to have SOME sort of SWAT detail to back up Marshalls, FBI and DEA if they want somebody, instead of getting the usual 6 figure Humvee, they got word that the feds were handing out these toys. So they got one for 5 grand, spent another grand on decking it out and so if the feds come to town, they can polish up the toy and say "let's go" ... heh. Here's OUR toy doing what it does best ... parked as an exhibit. :)
