No, I believe the worn out line is, "I have a [insert minority] friend."I serve as an auxiliary officer, and once, while on duty, I helped an elderly couple with directions to the train at the tree lighting ceremony. They tried to give me a Christmas "gift" of proselytization literature. I told them, "No thanks," and that I was Jewish. They said that it was okay because, "It's really you and us against the Muslims." I told them my best friend is a Muslim, and they stared at me like I just told them I eat my own feces. Maybe ChicagoMotorman doesn't feel the same way as that elderly couple and I was just jumping to conclusions. |
