FDR didn't do a damn thing for the victims of the holocaust.There was a recent documentary about the Morganthau family (Henry Sr., Henry Jr. and Robert) on PBS. The section on Henry Jr. (FDR's Treasury Secretary) mentioned the events leading up to the creation of the War Refugee Board. The documentary raised some questions regarding how much the State Department told Roosevelt about the situation. This paragraph summarizes some of what appeared in the PBS documentary. |
