The three kings were enticed to travel to Bethlehem with gifts for the baby Jesus because Macy's had a special on gold, frankincense, and myrrh for the holidays.The only king anywhere near Bethlehem is King of Prussia. So where are the other two? That a myth describes mythical people giving gifts to a mythical being in a place that didn't actually exist hardly demonstrates a habit of gift-giving between the people who believe the myth. |
