Spider-Pig declared, categorically: "Gift-giving has never been a Chanukah tradition."This is manifestly not the case, as proven by my stash of Chanukah presents, which Spider-Pig insisted are actually Christmas presents despite the fact that I received them for Chanukah by people who didn't and would never celebrate Christmas. How, exactly, is it not claiming absolute knowledge to declare that my personal experience is invalid because he "knows" for a fact that no Jews ever give Chanukah presents? Or, given what you said about the cheeseburger in the Passover thread, maybe you'd claim it's antisemitic that they (and I) celebrated Chanukah in a manner not compliant with your and/or Spider-Pig's dictates. |
