There is no evidence countering the null hypothesis. As you said. So why do you reject it? You can't ever disprove the possibility that the whole world was set up by a vengeful God who afflicts Florida with hurricanes because of their abortion laws. You can't disprove that my great-grandfather found the scroll either. Look up "burden of proof." All you can do is say it's the stupidest thing you've ever heard. No, what I can do is say it's false. As in not true. Pick any ridiculous idea that isn't unusually popular— unicorns, elves, Blaga the Almost Omnipotent. You presumably don't have any qualms saying that those things don't exist without feeling the need to qualify or dodge that statement. |
